Meet Chelsea. Dr. Chelsea Montgomery is an audiologist who specializes in patient-centered care. She works with people who have hearing loss to develop personal plans of care and ensure that they are staying healthy and active in all areas of their lives. She practices at HearUSA in Bend alongside a talented and supportive team. One of Dr. Montgomery’s favorite parts of working at HearUSA is getting to serve veterans from all over Central Oregon. She and is a recent transplant from Florida, where she worked at the Tampa VA. Dr. Montgomery has enjoyed taking in the sights of Bend over the last year and has a full list of places to explore in the coming years!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I live with my husband Ben here in Bend. We love to spend our weekends out in the mountains, which was one of the main drivers of our move to Bend. The rest of our family lives in Florida.
Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
My favorite part about working as an audiologists is getting to help others in the community every day. Giving people the ability to communicate easier with friends and family is very rewarding. AS a former teacher, I also love sharing new technology with patients and guiding them through every step of their hearing journey.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Pho Viet is hands down my favorite local restaurant. The banh mi is delicious! Sora Sushi is another great one.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I moved to Bend last May. Being able to experience every season in this beautiful town has been amazing. That wasn’t something we had in Florida.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Some of the most interesting people I’ve met are those who have grown up in Bend and the surrounding area. It’s wonderful to hear stories of our city’s past.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I have a friend who lives in Paris that I haven’t seen in years. and catching up with her in a new city would be so much fun.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I recently watched the Good Place, and every episode made me laugh.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be nice to yourself.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Rogue Wave and Elliott Smith.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I appreciate the sense of camaraderie in Bend. People in the community look out for others in big and small ways.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Most importantly, I see myself happy.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I love a good costume party.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
When I drove cross-country from Florida and Oregon, the views in Utah were the best hands down.

Thanksgiving – I love to cook!

Sunday mornings with great coffee and company.

My husband’s generosity and thoughtfulness.

Lavender and pine.
