Elizabeth Anderson

Meet Elizabeth. I’m a Sales Consultant & Audi Brand Specialist at Kendall Imports of Bend. We represent Audi, BMW and Porsche, as well as a wide variety of quality pre-owned vehicles. My passion is helping people fill a need in their life and have a bit of fun during the process – car shopping doesn’t have to be stressful!

I’ve been with Kendall Auto Group for about three years now, and have sold just about every brand of vehicle out there. We have 40 dealerships in 10 cities across the Pacific Northwest and offer an unrivaled customer experience. We do a lot of work with and support our local communities through fundraisers and charity events. I’m proud to be part of the Kendall family.

I’m an adventurer and avid outdoorswoman who made Oregon home almost a decade ago. A few years after moving to Oregon, my husband and I decided to travel the world. After a lot of planning, we sold all our things and quit our jobs. We intended to travel for one year but ended up being away for two. We spent a year living and working in New Zealand, where I became a jump master and site manager for the highest cliff jumps in the world. Two years and 16 countries later, we returned to Oregon. I take great pride in working for an Oregon-based, family run company who helps support our local communities.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a pretty small, close knit family. Several years ago my husband and I relocated from the Midwest, where most of our family resides. Here in Oregon it’s the two of us and our beloved feline.

Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
I absolutely love meeting people from all walks of life. My career enables me to help my clients with decisions that affect their daily lives. Whether it’s handling a daily commute, or enjoying Bend’s mountain roads, I have a solution for everyone!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Just a couple? I’ll try to keep it short. Brunch? Cafe Sintra. Post-summit Bloody Marys? Chow. Sushi date night? Tomo. After-work beer? 10 Barrel East Side.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve lived in Bend since 2019, but I feel like my heart’s been here since I moved to Oregon in 2013.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Everyone I’ve met in Bend has the most upbeat attitude toward life, and that’s a huge part of why I live here. My husband and I traveled all over the US looking for home and Central Oregon just feels right.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
My next trip will be to Alaska. I’ve been on almost every continent in the world, but for some reason have yet to make it to Alaska. I crave big mountains, good fishing, and hikes with grizzlies.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My go-to shows favor adventure and food, if I sit down to actually watch something. Otherwise, Netflix serves as great background noise for housework and knitting.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Go for it – whatever your “it” is. I’m all about diving in head first, but not with reckless abandon. Define your goal, set a plan, jump in. You won’t regret it.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I don’t have a bucket list, but I do have a long list of aspirations that generally include being outdoors – trekking the Himalayas, motorbiking to the tip of South America, seeing the Northern Lights from a tent north of the Arctic Circle. As a cancer survivor, I try to live each day with the appreciation that there may not be another day. Choose your adventure and just do it!

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
A few of my go-to bands include Rise Against, Foo Fighters, and Incubus.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Breaking the rules a bit here – if I could dine with anyone it would be Anthony Bourdain. He seemed to be such a genuine soul and proved to be a great food and travel inspiration. He lived in the moment.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Central Oregon rocks! I traveled all over the Western United States looking for a mountain town that felt like home. The Bend area has that “Midwest nice” charm I’m used to, alongside our amazing outdoors. It feels like we have a common adventurous, laid-back vibe here.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5-10 years I imagine that I’ll have a lot more adventures under my belt! More countries visited, more cuisines enjoyed, more life lived.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’ve always got several art projects going – paintings, photography missions, knitting projects. I can’t sit still.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
What a tough question! I think I’ve got to go with New Zealand – beautiful country, beautiful people, beautiful way of life.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
I love having four seasons, but I’m the worst at keeping track of holidays.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Travel. Every time.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My husband

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
The combination of sage and juniper here just smells like home.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Mountains, Wild, Oregon
