When I am not working you can find me at one of your favorite breweries, grabbing some grub, traveling outside the country or anywhere outside!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Both my parents were born in Mexico and are now proud citizens of this country. My father owns his own business and my mom works for the Jefferson County Health Department.
Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
I love that it is brand new, this career position is one that I was able to create with the help of local organizations.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Spork! It’s so damn good! – Jacksons Corner has a mean breakfast – Kevista Coffee shop, such a cool vibe – Honestly, Bend is so spoiled there too many good places. Haha
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived and worked in Bend for about 8 years now, but grew up in Central Oregon
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There are a lot of interesting folks here in Bend. The most interesting though, shoot.. honestly have no clue, pass.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Shoot.. Istanbul, Turkey! From what I’ve seen, it’s a beautiful city! Full of vibrant culture and delicious food! Close to the Mediterranean Sea and other really incredible counties/locations also rich in history.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Don’t really watch shows, but the Office is solid! Love Batman, The Dark Knight.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Take the time and chances to explore new opportunities; discovering what you don’t enjoy doing, while learning about the things you’re good at.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Visit every continent (3 down!)
Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Lol I guess you’re assuming I listen to bands. My go to musical artist when I’m feeling indecisive is J. Cole or Drake. Or anything Hip-Hop.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I feel that the Old MIll does that for me. It’s a crazy reminder, that this used to be a lumber/timber town and now it thrives on tourism.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
This is an interesting question, love it. I’d probably pick my grandparents and I’d take them to Chan’s (they love Chans lol). Because I know they don’t have much time before they would be excluded form this question, so would want to take advantage of that now and make the most out of this time.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The beer scene! I guess you could argue that it’s just like any other mountain town with all the pubs and whatnot. I like to think that it’s still pretty unique and makes for a unique community.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Haha. You’ll see.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I wear my heart on my sleeve so there’s not much truthfully. I mean, I did ballet for about 8 years. Most people don’t know that only because it doesn’t really come up in conversations.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Probably New Zealand. I did a two week long photo shoot with REI in the South Island. We kayaked, mountain biked and backpacked from Christchurch – Queenstown. Jumping form valley to valley. Such a beautiful country!
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Pshhh.. Come one now.. CHRISTMAS!
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Mango anything. Solid 10.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Ohh.. Anything my Abueltia is cooking and I am a sucker for baked treats!
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Food, Roots & Inviting.
